Jeanette & JP at Sol Duc Falls, WA

Lover’s Lane was quite the appropriate trail name for my hike with Jeanette and JP. JP is Travis’ childhood friend and when he asked me to bring my camera along for his planned proposal at Sol Duc Falls in Olympic National Park I said 100% absolutely.

JP originally planned to pop the question at the famous Sol Duc Waterfall, but it was packed with people and we couldn’t find a spot to get the falls in the photo so we continued on the hike until we came across this romantic location. I had both of them look at the waterfall for a photo and then JP got down on one knee. Jeanette of course said YES!

I can’t get over how fake this background looks in the photos. It was so beautiful in real life and I couldn’t have imagined a better spot for this proposal. I am just loving the change of scenery in Washington. It is very different from my usual beach sessions I have been photographing the past fourteen years.

Olympic National Park Engagement

I feel so honored to have truly CAPTURED LOVE between JP and JEANETTE! A major congrats to our friends. JP picked out a beautiful ring for his fiance! While they sipped on champagne I made sure to get a few photos of the ring by itself.

JP planned out the whole day to include CHAMPAGNE! After she said yes we walked back up to the top of the trail so we could sip on some bubbly.

Celebrate Proposal WA state

We HAD to take a few photos in this fern valley we came across on Lover’s Lane. We felt like we were in Jurassic Park. I love all the pretty ferns that take over so many of trails around here in WA. They are so green!
